RAIN BECOMES SPOTTIER OVERNIGHT: Showers have been fairly persistent in many parts of the area Friday, except in northern areas where it was much drier. Showers this evening will become spottier overnight with mild lows in the mid 50s to low 60s.

KEEP THE RAIN GEAR HANDY THIS WEEKEND: Expect some dry time Saturday, but we still run the chance for *scattered* showers and isolated thunder. Highs Saturday will range from the upper 60s to mid 70s. Rain chances pick up again into Saturday night. Showers then linger into Sunday, especially through early afternoon before it shifts south/east. With some luck, northern parts of the viewing area may end up staying mostly dry Sunday. It will be cooler for Mother's Day, with highs in the 60s for most.

LOOKING AHEAD: Nice start to next week, with highs back in the 70s with a mix of sun and clouds. Slight chance of showers and a few t-storms next Thursday, then a bit cooler on Friday.

Have a good Friday night and a great weekend! Wishing all the Moms out there a very Happy Mother's Day! -Meteorologist Bill Graul
